1966 Volkswagen Beetle
1966 Volkswagen Beetle
This is a very rare ONE OWNER Beetle! If you are a VW Beetle enthusiast, this one is for you.
I am helping a long time friend (the owner) sell this Beetle 1300 she has owned since she bought it in 1966.
As you may know, the VW Beetle 1300 was introduced to the USA in 1966. It is one of the most significant cars to hit our land after WWII. Looking back historically, the 1966 model is considered to be the most valuable year of production. My friend bought it new and drove it as her primary driver for many years. It eventually needed to be reconditioned, so she decided to buy a more current car and parked it it her garage for many years. When she retired she decided to have it professionally restored back to its original condition.
They started with the drive train and had the engine and transmission rebuilt. She next had both the body and interior restored back to original, keeping everything colored and upholstered as it was the day she bought it.
She still loves this beauty, but almost never uses it even though it would probably handle a round the world trip. She decided that it is being wasted sitting in a garage and someone else should enjoy it.
If you are looking for a rare numbers-matching, completely restored 1966 Beetle, I believe this is as good as you will ever find anywhere.
